Considering Offering Fullsize Image Downloads

I've gone back and forth with this idea.  I hope people know how hard it is for most photographers to "give up" their images to their clients.  I know this is a standard practice for wedding photographers but not typically for Portrait photographers.  I will admit this is how I got started with doing portraits.  I offered all images on a CD for a embarrassingly low price just to get my name out there and because I didn't have a website or way to sell prints.  I've gone back and forth with the idea of offering an archived disc and even did an anonymous survey awhile back to see what people would pay.
Now I am considering offering the option to download original images after finalization of the portrait session.  It wouldn't be all the images most likely 10-15 favorites from a session or a number at my descretion based on the number of final images.  The client would be able to select the favorites then those images would be available for download either as a package or as individual images.  I am considering pricing these at or around $25 each with a minimum download order of $250.  I feel this is fair and comparable to what is out there among photographers who do offer archived or downloadable original images with copyrights.  I would just hope that the person would then be referring new clients to me as a result.  I hope to get some feedback on this blog post.  Let me know what you all think.  Would you pay $250 for 10 original full size images from your portrait session?  Or do you prefer to pay the $55 sitting fee and ordering prints from my site?
